15mm f/2.8 Fisheye
Very clean and no marks on the glass. There is a ding
at the edge of the metal lens cap (not the lens). Date code
UU, USA version bought from B&H. I did not try several lenses
of this one when buying, I just figured the focal lenght is short
and fixed, and it's fisheye which is easier to build, and never heard
anynegative complaints on fisheye image quality. And I think it's
a real good lens. Also I'm in the market for a Nikon fisheye for purchase
or trade.
There is a small ding on the lens cap:
There is some crazing at the corners of the plastic window:
Here's something taken with this lens and the 5D1 (12.7MP),
handheld. Note that to get the starburst specular highlights from
the sun you have to stop down, which incurs more lens diffraction.
I think it's impressive to not get any lens flare - you would on the
"famous" Nikon 14-24 lens. Click on the image
